The hotel Fortina is situated on the waterfront in a quieter part of Sliema, with Sliema?s shops and facilities just 400 m away. Guests are able to do as much or as little as they choose, with ideal facilities for relaxing or active types. The Fortina overlooks the island?s majestic capital Valletta and has some great views over the front, out to the sea and over to Marsamxett harbour. The atmosphere is a very relaxed feel and the overall ambience is mellow and sophisticated.
Accommodation
All the rooms are spacious and furnished to a high standard. Standard rooms offer twin or double beds, air conditioning (cooling or heating depending on the season), safety deposit box, TV, direct dial telephone (subject to charge) and balcony. Superior rooms offer twin or 2 queen size beds with the same facilities as the standard rooms plus TV with Euro satellite, movies on demand (pay TV) tea & coffee making facilities, mini bar (replenished daily with wine, water, beer & soft drinks - only until 30/04/09), hair dryer, trouser press and balcony or french windows. In addition to these facilities the deluxe rooms have an extra seating area and fax machine (on request & subject to charge).
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:30-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (18:30-21:30), all buffet style, served in the La Vallette restaurant. During meals house wine, soft drinks and water are offered. Snacks such as sandwiches are available in-between meals at the bars. Locally produced & some imported alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee, spirits, cocktails, beer, sparkling wine, etc are served from 10:00-24:00 at the Lido outdoor bar. There is also 24hr room service.

Sport facilities at the hotel include fitness centre, fully equipped gymnasium and cardiovascular equipment, four swimming pools, two of which are indoor and two outdoor, pool towel service near the pool areas, Thalasso therapy treatments (maximum of two pool treatments per day), aerobics, step aerobics, slide aqua aerobics, full day boat trip to Comino (1st May until 31 October, including beer, wine, soft drinks and lunch) and harbour cruise.
