Amenities & Facilities The Feldwebel features a total of 34 spacious and well appointed bedrooms, some of which can accommodate 3 persons. All feature bath or shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, cable television, radio and safe. Modern features combine with traditional styles to lend the Feldwebel a unique character. In house facilities include reception with adjoining reading/television room, Tyrolean ?Stube? with bar, a la carte restaurant with an historic vaulted ceiling, residents? dining room and a wonderful terrace where live music is held twice per week in the high season. Guests will enjoy a hearty cold buffet breakfast and a four course evening meal with choice of main course and daily salad buffet. The hotel arranges weekly speciality Tyrolean and Italian evenings, along with regular delicious dessert buffets. Accommodation The Hotel Gasthof Feldwebel lies in the very centre of the Tyrolean resort of Soll, a few steps away from the small pedestrian centre. It is approximately 800 metres to the ?Panoramabad? swimming pool complex and a range of resort amenities and facilities are in the immediate vicinity. Resort Information & Things to Do The charming village of Soll lies in a wide sunny valley, between the majestic Wilder Kaiser Mountain Range and the mighty Hohe Salve Mountain. Surrounded by stunning scenery and rolling green pastures, this charming village is one of the most popular mountain destinations in Tyrol. Local traditions are still very much alive with festivals and parades being part of everyday summer life. Activities available locally include: Walking and Hiking: Idyllic valleys, soft hills, steep mountains ? the Skiwelt region is a diverse walking and hiking paradise with over 400 kilometres of marked paths for all standards. The Soll Tourist Office arranges several guided walking tours each week. For those who are less energetic, an excellent system of 14 lifts, cable cars and mountain railways interlink the area. A lift and walking pass, valid on all 14 lifts in the villages of the region (including Soll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen im Thale, Hopfgarten, Itter and Westendorf) can be purchased locally. A free bus service, the Kaiserjet, connecting the villages of Itter, Soll, Scheffau, Ellmau and Going, operates from mid June to September. ?Hexenwasser?, or Witches Water, is a magical water theme park located on the Hohe Salve Mountain above Soll. The park features a 450 metre long water-themed walk, with various pools, a water maze and water wheels. It leads to some traditional mountain restaurants offering local specialities, such as home baked bread and locally made cheese. Soll boasts a fabulous swimming and leisure centre, the Panoramabad, which features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, children?s pool, sauna and sun bathing lawns. The scenic Moorsee lake lies approximately 1 kilometre from the village centre and is a popular place for both swimming and fishing (licence required). Cycling, mountain biking, outdoor tennis, squash, horse riding, mini-golf and bowling also available in Soll. The 27 hole Wilder Kaiser Golf Course and the 9 hole Kaisergolf mountain course are located in nearby Ellmau (10 kilometres). A great range of day excursions to nearby places of interest may be booked locally.
