Pacific Northwest's only AAA Five Diamond hotel. The Olympic is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of Historic Hotels of America. Built on what was originally the site of the first campus of the University of Washington.(08/08-kc).
The exterior of the building is donein the style of the Italian Renaissance and graciously restored.
The rooms combine high ceilings and crown moldings with a comtemporary, warm and residential ambience, featuring custom-made furnishings, fabrics and plush carpeting. Deluxe Rooms feature a well-equipped work desk and a relaxing sitting area with an oversized armchair and ottoman. A dressing area is adjacent to the bathroom. Rooms are 430 square feet, with one king bed or two twin beds and offer city views.
The hotel has 2 full service restaurants. The first one featuring seasonal Northwest cuisine and wines, serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The second one is a Seattle's pre eminent oyster bar and seafood restaurant, serves lunch and dinner. In addition, in room dining is available 24 hours.
Elegant and luxurious. Original oak paneled walls, crystal chandeliers and Signature Palladian windows. Custom carpeting was installed in the main lobby and mezzanine. Lobby furnishings were also reupholstered while the marble and oak finishes received deep polishing. In addition, custom lobby lighting was installed to better showcase the intricate architectural details of the lobby.
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Seattle, near the main financial and retail districts. The hotel is within walking distance of the Convention Center, Pike Place Market, Seattle Waterfront, Westlake Center, Monorail to Seattle center, Pioneer Square, Belltown, 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya hall(home to Seattle Symphony), and Pacific Place, site of high-end retail shops and an extensive cinema.
