The Burlington Restaurant: The Burlington Restaurant holds a Michelin star under Executive Head Chef Michael Wignall who has made a reputation for himself as one of the country's leading chefs. To complement the exquisite food Managing Director Jeremy Rata has built up an enviable cellar of fine and rare wines with in excess of 2,000 bins including a choice of vertical vintages. A feature of the list is the choice of over 80 house wines. It is arguably the best wine cellar in the country. The Burlington Restaurant is named after an ancestor of the Duke of Devonshire and there is a series of architectural drawings by William Kent who was a friend of the Earl of Burlington, a patron of the arts in the early 18th century. The originals are part of the world famous collection of drawings at Chatsworth. There are three "rooms" - the two areas of the candlelit restaurant furnished with antique polished tables dressed with silver, fine china and crystal plus the light and contemporary conservatory, which looks out over the Italian garden and towards the Dales. The Burlington is open for dinner each evening except Monday and also for Sunday Lunch. The Dinner menu, at £58 per person, offers a choice of five starters, five main courses and five desserts starting with canapés, and interspersed with amuses, a velouté, pre-dessert and a minimum of 12 varieties of petits fours served with coffee and tea. Sunday Lunch is £33.00 per person. Michael's tasting menu is available on Thursday to Sunday evenings - a nine course set menu offering a journey of different tastes and textures at £68 per person. There is also a complementary wine package available at £50 per person. This menu requires the participation of the whole table and for those staying on a luxury break there is a supplement of £20.
The Brasserie & Bar: Added to The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel in 1997, The Devonshire Brasserie and Bar has been an undisputed hit. Yorkshire Life's restaurant of the year for 1999, the Brasserie has gone from strength to strength. Offering a novel approach, where many of the dishes are available as either starters for £5.00 or main courses for £9.50, the exception being the Plain and Simple dishes.
