This charming hotel is one of the best hotels in Lucerne. PL 10/07.
The hotel has an impressive traditional facade, which is hand-painted and has been recently restored.
The rooms vary in size as 85% are large and 15% are medium. All are pleasantly furnished in light colours and are in very good condition (as are the bathrooms). Some boast balconies overlooking the river.
The restaurant serves Swiss cuisine and is decorated with modern panelling mixing well with the beige painted walls. The room is full of warm, soft colours. The breakfast room has light blue walls with wooden tiling and modern furniture, but has a traditional feel throughout.
The lobby is small and decorated in bright colours, and with a wooden reception desk. There is also a lounge area next to the lobby, which is medium in size and furnished in traditional style with a hanging chandelier in the middle of the room.
The hotel is located in the old city centre in a car-free zone, a few minutes walk from the main railway station. It overlooks the famous wooden bridge and river.
