Resort Information
In the Grandvalira skiing area that includes the skiing resorts of Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, Pas de la Casa and Porte des Neiges.

Set high on the border into France, Pas de la Casa, is the largest in the Pyrenees, with 150km of pistes which covers the linked areas of Grau Roig and Soldeu.

The slopes cater for aspiring intermediates with plenty of top-to-bottom reds and blues on the main ridge. There are two areas for beginners and there are plenty of gentle slopes in the main area to progress to.

Snowboarding is popular with the young crowd that Pas de la Casa attracts, and there is a small, lift-served board-park and half-pipe on the Grau Roig side of the mountain.

There are all sorts of accommodation, from apartments to hotels, most of which you can ski to, serving various clientele. The resort eateries are generally Spanish in cuisine and are extremely cheap and cheerful. The apres-ski activities are extremely lively.
