Commune by the Great Wall Kempinski Beijing is a private collection of living contemporary Chinese and Asian architecture designed by 12 Asian architects, set in a shared landscape where modernism and tradition blend together. It is the epitome of contemporary China, complete with art, design, architecture and cultural events.

The hotel offers 42 villas (236 rooms), designed by 12 Asian architects, ranging in size from 4 to 6 bedrooms, which are dispersed along the steep slope of the serene valley. Each House frames dramatic views of the sinuous landscape or The Great Wall, which is accessible by a path on the property. The ''Walnut Valley'' includes 11 presidential villas with 46 guest rooms and 1 Commune club which opened in October 2002, and the ''Rock Valley'' includes 31 new villas with 190 guest rooms, which opened in September 2006.

The two Cafes/Delis offer continental breakfast, snacks, beverages, and afternoon tea around the clock. Terrace Lounge, open 24 hours a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Courtyard Restaurant serves a variety of Chinese cuisines. It can hold 150 people at dinner or function as a meeting hall. The restaurant has a bar and four private rooms respectively named Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, each having a private yard attached.

A superb 1000 m2 Anantara Spa on three levels, linked to the Club House. A 60 m2 fitness area equipped with state-of-the-art machines and a rooftop yoga area are also open to guests. The Anantara Spa's design is inspired by contemporary Asian art and architecture, blending seamlessly into the peaceful natural environment.The Kids' Club is one of a kind, specially designed for children aged 2-12 and under the supervision of a trained Manager. The club interior anticipates our smaller guests' needs with colourful children-size furniture and a comfortable, welcoming environment. Activities which can be organised range from nature trail walks to gardening, cooking and arts & crafts.
