Having just re-opened after an extensive renovation, The Colony Palms Hotel, recently named to Conde Nast Traveler 2008 HOT LIST, has regained its swagger as a stunning four-star boutique hotel located in Movie Colony. The Spanish Colonial style hotel began receiving guests in 1936 featuring plenty of sunshine, a good nights rest, as well as a legendary underground speakeasy and brothel. The hotel within easy walking distance of downtown Palm Springs, has 56 Guest Rooms and Suites, gracious courtyards with multiple lounging areas. The hotel offers a heated outdoor pool and hot tub. The Moroccan inspired spa features 4 treatment rooms, a quiet room, his and hers changing facilities. Services include massage, manicures, pedicures, facials, and gym. The Gym will open in mid-November. The Purple Palm Restaurant & Bar with poolside terrace, features Mediterranean inspired cuisine using classic French techniques. The Purple Palm serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and an anytime-anywhere poolside menu. In-room dining is also available. Guest rooms feature pillow top mattress, signature oversized shower, high definition LCD TV, On-Demand music and movies, iPod docking station, wireless internet, in-room safe, bath robes, hair dryer, ironing board and mini-bar. Resort Fee of $18 per night includes self park during week, valet on weekends, wireless internet, poolside morning coffee prior to 9am. Utility Fee of $1.25per night for utilities. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
