The hotel is of a very high standard, impressively combining an elegant hotel and atmosphere with friendly, warm service. This hotel is totally non-smoking in all rooms.
It is a purpose-built hotel, built in 1952 for the winter Olympic games in Oslo.
The rooms are very large and are in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. They are decorated in cool, crisp, Feng Shui-inspired style, with beige, cream and white colour schemes.
The atrium restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, is set in the heart of the hotel, with glass elevators and inner balconies overlooking it.
The large lobby is very elegant, decorated with marble and brass, and the new adjoining bar is subtly lit and comfortably elegant.
The hotel is located in the heart of Oslo, close to the central rail station and main bus terminal, and within walking distance of shopping areas, restaurants and theatres.
