The hotel dates back to 1898, an imposing ornate red brick building.
The rooms are large, also elegantly appointed in both traditional Victorian and Art Deco styles. Each is individually decorated by leading interior designers and furnished with antique furniture. In exceptional condition. Also the bathrooms are wonderfully elegant and luxurious. The hotel has 203 Superior and Deluxe rooms, 67 Suites and 2 Penthouses. The restaurant, designed by Thierry Despont and under the attentive and inspired guide of famous chef Gordon Ramsay, is on the ground floor and resembles a ballroom with ornate coving to the ceiling and numerous other period features in perfect condition. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and the famous afternoon tea are served at the two restaurants.
The lobby is large and fabulous with Art Deco and classical influences and a wealth of beautiful original features restored to perfection. The stunning marble floor dominates the entrance and main lobby area. There is a large lounge area adjacent to the lobby providing a spacious seating area.
The hotel is located in the heart of the West End, just two minutes walk from Bond Street underground station. With Oxford Street, Bond Street and South Molton Street shopping areas right on its doorstep.
