The exterior of the hotel is traditional and well maintained. As the name suggests, the building is of typical Swiss chalet-style.
The superior rooms have been renovated in the last two/three years and are in excellent condition. Bathrooms are nearly all new, some have flat screen televisions and, again, most have new furniture. For a 3 star hotel they are excellent quality.
The hotel has a typical Swiss chalet-style restaurant as well as excellent Italian and Indian restaurants.
The small lobby is in keeping with the traditional style of the exterior. The extensive use of wood and oak beams combines to create a typical chalet style.
This is one of the most popular hotels in town and enjoys a prime location in the centre of Interlaken.
