This is a fine budget hotel with an ideal location. It is part of the Cab Inn chain where the motto is 'sleep cheap in luxury'. This could be seen as being a fair & true remark for this hotel. (LC 07/06).
This is a fine classical building constructed in 1914. It has many architectural features confirming its elegant status in this harbour town.
Rooms are medium to large in size and follow the Cab Inn concept of simple but comfortable accommodation. All rooms have the Cab Inn embossed purple carpet and signature 'all in one' compact bathroom cubicle. Some rooms are recently painted in an off white colour, while the remainder are a pleasant green. Rooms and bathrooms are all in very good condition and immaculately clean.
The hotel serves only breakfast but many dining opportunities are within walking distance of the hotel. Snacks can be bought throughout the day and evening at the reception.
The lobby is medium in size and relatively basic with bright spotlighting, limited but modern seating and a reception desk. On the mezzanine floor above, which can be accessed by a central staircase beside the reception desk, is a spacious area decorated with stylish leather sofa's, glass topped tables and polished wood parquet flooring.
This hotel is located in the city centre with the pedestrian street, shops and restaurants just around the corner from the hotel. Excellently situated.
