Built as an Admiral's residence in 1870 and later becoming the Station Master's house for Sandown Shanklin, the lodge has retained many of its original features. Along the seafront to the North of the town, you will find a Dinosaur Museum, Brown's pitch 'n' putt golf course, bowling greens, and a crazy golf course. Also, this part of Sandown is home to the Isle of Wight Tiger and Big Cat Sanctuary, where they specialize in the breeding and care of some of the planet's most severely threatened creatures. This is located in Granite Fort, which was in operation during the war to protect the island's coastline.Please Note: Non-smoking. No pets permitted on the premises.
