This small 5-star historical boutique hotel is situated on the Giudecca Island just a short boat ride from St. Mark's Square. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle boat between the Bauer properties in Venice (available 10am - 2pm & 5pm-midnight); it takes about 10 minutes to cross from Guidecca to the Bauer hotel in the heart of Venice, right on the Grand Canal next to the St Mark's Square. The nearest train station Venice Santa Lucia is 15min away and the Venice Marco Polo airport 30min away by water taxi. EXTERIOR The property is a beautiful Renaissance building, originally a convent, designed by Andrea Palladio in the 15th century. LEISURE FACILITIES The hotel presents a new luxury 450sqm spa (open 2007) which offers a variety of massages, body and beauty treatments and includes a large Jacuzzi, Turkish hamman and Vitalis Bath.
