The exterior of the building is traditional in style and forms part of the shopping arcades.
The newly decorated, medium sized rooms are all decorated in the same simple but pleasant style, using neutral shades. They are all in exceptional condition, as are the bathrooms. It should be noted that the hotel has neither twin nor triple rooms.
The hotel has a cosy cafe/ bar area with small tables and chairs, leading off the lobby. The cafe serves light snacks and is a popular venue with locals.
The lobby is small, with a marble floor and leads on to a cosy bar area. A variety of interesting paintings, for which the hotel is notorious, adorn the walls.
This hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Berne, on one of the city's main shopping streets. It is a short walk from the railway station and parliament.
