Balbirnie House is situated in the village of Markinch near to St Andrews in the heart of the ancient kingdom of Fife, approximately half an hour by car to Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee, making this an ideal location from which to explore central Scotland. This wonderful Georgian mansion (built in 1777) is set within a 416 acre country estate and is widely recognised as one of Scotland's finest Grade A listed historic houses.
All bedrooms are traditionally and individually designed and come with all modern amenities including superb en-suite facilities, Molton Brown toiletries, bath robes, direct dial telephones, flat screen TV with radio, a variety of channels, with pay movies and broadband access for laptops. Wireless technology is available in all the public areas and meeting rooms.
Fine and informal dining are available daily with the option of the fantastically designed (2007) Orangery or the Bistro using fresh and locally produced products - where possible - from Scotland's larder.
