The Bahia Palace Beach Resort is located in the beautiful S. Miguel island in the Azores archipelago, in a hillside close to Baia d?Alto, in Vila Franca do Campo, at about 3 km from this town and only 19 km from the capital, Ponta Delgada. The resort is surrounded by green hills and the blue sea, which offers the tranquillity and calmness that guests deserve during their vacations.
Accommodation
All rooms have a balcony with panoramic and sea view, air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe deposit box, sofas and coffee table, dressing room with wardrobe and complete bathroom. They are equipped with TV (cable and satellite), video channel, hair dryer and telephone with direct/indirect line to the exterior. The decoration is elegant and promotes comfort that will please and welcome the most demanding guests.
Food & Beverage
There are two restaurants in the hotel: D. Henrique (with exclusive à la Carte service at dinner) and O Jardim. Served with a friendly smile, the typical Azorean cuisine and international cuisine will delight the guests. Bar Americano opens everyday from 11:00 to 24:00 hour and has live music and entertainment. There is also an additional bar in the swimming pool area.
Sports & Leisure
With direct access to the delightful Baia de Água d?Alto beach (S. Miguels finest beach), the hotel has a magnificent swimming pool with fresh water and heating system. The surrounding garden gives the pool a very calm, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. For tennis lovers, there are two private courts where they can practise their technique. Guests may also choose to burn calories on a bicycle ride around the gardens. S. Miguel has two splendid golf courses - one at Achada das Furnas, with 18 holes (20 minutes from the hotel) and another one in Batalha, Fenais da Luz, with 27 holes (30 minutes from the hotel). The surrounding limits of the garden blend with the beach line in a way that you are a part of the immense natural beauty of this area. In terms of curiosity, in the hotel gardens there is a small chapel built in the XVII century, called Ermida de Jesus, Maria e José and also known as Ermida do Desterro do lugar da Praia e Monforte.

In the hotel there is a small drugstore for the guests eventual needs. They can also use the hotel?s complimentary courtesy bus that will transport them from and to Ponta Delgada.
