Valmorel is located near Chambery/Aix-les-bains airport (CMF) 90km away, Grenoble/ Saint Geoirs Airport (GNB), Geneve Cointrin airport (GVA) 125km away and Lyon Saint Exupery airport (LYS) 180km away. Accommodation & Facilities All apartments are fully equipped with open-plan kitchen with two or four electric rings, refrigerator, mini-oven, dishwasher, electric coffee-maker, there is also a bathroom, separate toilet, television and a balcony or terrace (for apartments on the ground floor.) All beds are fitted with duvets, bed linen and towels supplied. The complex offers to its guests, ski lockers, a children?s club (at an extra charge) the parents should note that a health record, including up-to-date vaccinations (at least BCG/triple+ Polio) must be presented in child care centers, clubs and mini-clubs. There is also a bakery order service at the reception, a hamper delivery service (at a charge) and an apartment preparation service (at an extra charge.) The guests should note that there is a tax per adult per night paid localy. A refundable deposit paid locally and returned after departure is required. Apart from skiing there are plenty other winter activities for the guests to do, as a visit to the Kanata Igloo Village, old-fashioned outings: evening walks with donkeys carrying saddle packs on snowy trails, cinema. There is also the Valmoforme Centre with saunas, hammam, massages, fitness, etc. but also the arco Jungle trampoline, tobogganing, sledge and a skating rink. Location The resort is located at an altitude of 1400m in an area well-known for its ski coverage. Ski Facts From an altitude of 1400 to 2550 m : forests, with gentle sloping pastures at the bottom and breathtaking steep slopes at the top. The Grand Domaine - 150 km of pistes - is made up of Valmorel, Doucy Combelouviere and Saint François Longchamp, equipped with 49 ski lifts, 291 snow canons and a snowzone area with a half-pipe and a boarder-cross. This ski sector, with its good ski cover, will become more dynamic and the link with the St François-Longchamp ski area will be improved.
