According to all documents available the first idea to build a dining hall for the visiting guests came up early in 1730, so the first guesthouse was built next to the healing spring. Until the end of the 18.th century the inn had an inn on the first floor, with some modest rooms for accommodation on the second one. The building ment to be a hotel between the years 1780-1783 was completed in 1802 in classicist style. The new guesthouse named 'Nagyvendeglő' with 32 rooms was established in 1803, with an increasing capacity ever since. After Bela Bresztyenszky realized that the 'Nagyvendeglő' (Big Restaurant) was not comfortable enough, he had the coffe house, a parlour and a health resort built. In 1877 the Gyoenyoerde (Pleasure-Terracce), the roofed promenade, and the 1 storey healing hall were also built - particularly for the sake of dance parties. The library, card playing and lecture room was accommodated in the firts floor. The present 2 storied structure was established in 1912-1913 and ever since the famous Anna Balls are being held in this section. The further expansion of the Nagyvendeglő (Big Restaurant) took place in 1913, when the second floor had been completed. At that time the building complex was named Grand Hotel and it has been serving the tourist and patients of the health resort for 250 years. According to the expectations of the present days the main profile of the hotel is health preservation, recreation and viticulture.
