The outside of the hotel is very attractive with its sloping roof and wooden balconies lined with flower boxes.
The medium sized chalet style bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable providing a warm atmosphere, many enjoying uninterrupted views of the lack and snow-capped mountains beyond. The rooms in the upper floor are small and have sloping roofs. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition.
There are two restaurants, one serving light snacks and the other serving international dishes in very rustic and Bavarian surroundings.
The traditionally styled lobby and reception area, though small, create a very cosy and friendly ambience with open fireplaces and a variety of hunting trophies on the walls.
This hotel is located approximately 4 kilometres outside of Fussen, in the small village of Hopfen. The hotel, although opened in the 1970s, has been built on the shores of the lake in a mountain chalet style. A small road runs past it at the front, but otherwise the hotel is directly on the waterfront.
