The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having been built in 1901.
The Deluxe rooms feature either a King or 2 queens size bed with high ceilings and stylish decor. All rooms are non smoking and feature plush terry bathrobes, on demand movies, a private bar and two -line cordless telephones, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, working desk and overstuffed chair.
The hotel is home to the Library Bistro and the Bookstore Bar and Cafe. The Library Bistro serves contemporary American food and is open for breakfast, lunch and private dinner parties in the evening. The Bookstore Bar offers affordable prices in an environment that is comforting and welcoming, enjoyable and entertaining.
The hotel has a small lobby with intimate seating. It is decorated with hanging art from Pacific Northwest Artists and is rotated quarterly. There are two entrances into the lobby.
The hotel is located one block from the waterfront and close to Seattle downtown shopping area and the business, financial and government centers as well as the Seattle Art Museum and local art galleries.
