It should be noted that some of the rooms can be a little noisy due to passing trains. These run very infrequently, but light sleepers might be disturbed by them.
This is a historical town house, like its neighbours. It is in a very good state of repair.
The rooms vary a good deal in size, but all except those on the characterful top foor have lovely high ceilings. Those on the top floor have pretty sloping ceilings and many also have skylights. Both the rooms, which are classical in style, and their modern bathrooms are in exceptional condition. Some of the rooms can be a little noisy due to passing trains. These run very infrequently, but light sleepers might be disturbed by them.
The restaurant is on the lower ground floor.
The lobby is small, copsy and welcoming.
This hotel is located in a tiny cul de sac just a stone's throw from the station and the the old town. A small local branch line of the railway runs past the hotel.
