This is one of the most elegant hotels in Europe and has been classified as an historical monument. It well deserves its worldwide reputation. 0708/ss.
The architecture of the hotel is traditional and one of its most famous features is its pale green, domed roof.
All the large sized rooms have been individually furnished and decorated by the owner in Empire, Louis XIII and Provencals style. All the rooms are in very good condition. The comfort of these rooms is of the same standard as the others rooms types, only the view differs.
There are 2 restaurants; a brasserie, La Rotonde, which has been designed with a Pompadour style carousel where one can be served anything from a hamburger to caviar, and the Chantecler restaurant which is a very famous, elegant, gastronomic restaurant.
The reception area is medium and simply furnished, in comparison with the other public rooms, which are enormous and magnificently appointed. The main room is very imposing. Situated beneath the stained glass dome, it hosts a good selection of deluxe boutiques and can be used for large cocktail receptions. It also features original paintings and statues by famous artists. The centre piece is a marvellous crystal chandelier.
The hotel is located on the "Promenade Des Anglais". It faces the sea and is only a few steps from the pedestrian area and its shops and restaurants.
